Petro Poroshenko to Zelensky: no “advisory council” with terrorist leaders

Fifth President of Ukraine, leader of the European Solidarity Party Petro Poroshenko has publicly addressed President Zelensky demanding that he refuse to create a so-called “advisory council” with terrorist leaders.

“We are keeping eye on those red lines that we with the indifferent public drew last year. Agreeing to create a so-called advisory board means to cross these lines and step far beyond them. This means acting against Ukraine’s national interests. It means legitimizing the leaders of the Russia-occupied regions ofDonbas, recognizing the aggressor country as a mediator, thus giving it a chance to get rid of sanctions,” Poroshenko said.

He stressed that no matter who puts formal signature under the dictated by the Kremlin protocol to create this “board”, the final responsibility will be on Zelensky. “This is why I publicly categorical demand him to scrap his plan and abandon the creation of ‘advisory council’,” said Poroshenko.
