Mustafa Dzhemilev awarded by Czech foreign ministry medal for significant contribution to protection of human rights

The leader of the Crimean Tatar people, MP Mustafa Dzhemilev (European Solidarity) received the medal “For merits in diplomacy awarded by the Czech Republic Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek.    

“The Czech Foreign Minister awarded a number of prominent personalities from different countries. Mustafa Dzhemilev, in particular, received the award for “significant lifetime contribution in the protection of human rights,” reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. 

Due to the pandemic COVID-19 restrictions winners were unable to personally attend the prize award ceremony, so medals will be handed over to winners via the respective national foreign diplomatic offices, reads the Ukrainian foreign ministry release.
