Poroshenko welcomed EU decision on sanctions against Russia and called on authorities to increase sanctions pressure on aggressor

The fifth President and leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, welcomed the decision of European partners to extend sanctions against the Russian Federation.

“I welcome the decision of the ambassadors of the EU member states to continue the restrictive measures of the European Union against Russia for undermining the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine,” Poroshenko wrote on Facebook.

“For seven years now, we have maintained the legacy of our consolidated resistance to aggression and the powerful regime of Western sanctions. The current government must work to strengthen sanctions, strengthen the transatlantic coalition and raise the price of the Kremlin’s crimes against Ukraine,” Petro Poroshenko said.
