Maryna Poroshenko called on Ukrainians to join the defense of the state from the enemy

The whole country is rising to defend itself against Russian aggression. The leader of the European Solidarity party in the Kyiv City Council, Maryna Poroshenko, said this on the air of the Pryamiy channel.

“We are worried, like all Ukrainians who love their country and defend it. We rejoice and congratulate each other every day that another terrible night has passed, that we have persevered and held our ground. And we are starting each new day with new hopes for victory and confidence that everything will be OK for Ukraine,” she said.

“It’s not our choice. We do not choose what times we live in. But we can choose how to act in the situation in which we find ourselves. I am grateful to all Ukrainians for their determination and that they do not hesitate to defend their homeland. Some people left their homes and left. I understand them also,” said Maryna Poroshenko.

“Those who stayed and have strength and health, enlist in the territorial defense. If you can’t enlist in the Territorial Defense, just look around to see who needs your help. You can go to donate blood, share warm clothes, go down to the subway and offer help, even make hot tea for those who are there. And sometimes just talk,” she added.

“A lot of people are transferring funds to “Come Back Alive”- these are the funds that the army and defenders need very much now, and which help us a lot in such difficult times. Today we see how united the whole country is. Everyone has forgotten about their political differences,” she said.

“Today we have one task – to unite the country and defend it together. We currently have opposing views to the government, but we have postponed these concerns. Now we are defending Ukraine. The main thing is to win, and then we will express our thoughts, advice, and think how to move forward,” Maryna Poroshenko stressed.

“I appeal to the people of Kyiv, citizens of Ukraine: speak Ukrainian, I urge you – this is also our weapon, what distinguishes us from the Russian occupiers. Their language makes them much easier to detect and neutralize. There are many Russian-speaking Ukrainians, but you just have to start, not be afraid to make mistakes, not be afraid that you don’t not enough vocabulary. Just get started. This will help defend the land, protect defenders so that they can save their health, life and our country,” she said.
