I sincerely welcome the long-awaited and strategically important statements of the leadership of the EU institutions on opening of EU membership perspective to Ukraine.
The Ukrainian people, through their sacrifice and decisive actions, have proved their true commitment to European values and the project of the United Europe. Today, no one in the world is defending and fighting for their independence, European identity and future of civilization as fiercely as Ukraine. Ukraine’s future lies in the EU and NATO!
Ukraine must immediately apply for EU membership in accordance with Article 49 of the EU Treaty, and EU member states must approve the decision to grant Ukraine candidate status and start appropriate accession negotiations under a special procedure. The European Union must also decide to provide Ukraine with financial and economic assistance like as the Marshall Plan to rebuild the destroyed infrastructure of our country.
The only thing we need is to win, to defeat a crazy and very powerful enemy who wishes to destroy, to wipe out everything that is Ukrainian.
Our strength is in unity and solidarity both within the country and with our allies. Ukraine will definitely win!
