Petro Poroshenko called on the world to recognize the crimes of Putin’s occupation army as genocide against the Ukrainian people. The fifth President emphasized that the tragedy of Izyum is not an accident or an episode.
“This is another evidence of the atrocities of the Russian occupiers in Ukraine, which have a systemic nature and a very specific goal,” Poroshenko writes on Facebook.
“Having resorted to a large-scale invasion, Putin longed for the destruction of Ukrainian statehood and people. Bucha exposed this goal, Izyum shout about it,” Petro Poroshenko writes.
“It is not enough to express concern. It is not enough to condemn crimes. The world must recognize Putin’s war as an attempt of genocide against the Ukrainian people. All perpetrators must be recorded in the “Bucha list” and brought to justice. No matter how much time passes, they will not hide from punishment!” the fifth President emphasizes.
