Petro Poroshenko called on the NSDC to make a decision on Ukraine’s application to join NATO. He wrote about it on Facebook.
“At today’s meeting of the National Security Council, powerful historical decisions, that will change the course of the war, should be made. First, the time has come for an official application for the immediate start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to NATO, the decision on which must be made at the regular or extraordinary summit of the Alliance. This will make it possible to stop the beginning of the third world war, on the threshold of which Putin has put humanity, and will be the most effective vaccine against Russian nuclear blackmail,” the fifth President believes.
“Voting for the accession of Ukraine should be considered by each member of the Alliance as a guaranteed protection of their country, Europe and the world. Accession negotiations should begin immediately. This is exactly what I expect from today’s press conference of my friend and friend of Ukraine, Jens Stoltenberg. And since the leadership of the European Union did everything for the decision on Ukraine’s accession to the EU, Jens should also become an icebreaker who will pave our way to NATO, so that we can start negotiations right now,” Petro Poroshenko said.
“Secondly, it is time to formally create a powerful global anti-Putin coalition, join the efforts of the democratic alliance and deputinize imperialist Russia and the world with a single fist on all fronts. Together with the heroism of the Armed Forces, this guarantees our joint victory over the Moscow barbarians,” Poroshenko is convinced.
