Ukraine must receive all types of weapons from its allies in order to defeat and expel the Russian invaders from its land. This was said by Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, a People’s Deputy from the “European Solidarity” faction, head of the Committee on Ukraine’s Integration into the European Union.
She emphasized the importance of adopting the Resolution on the Appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the parliaments and governments of democratic states and international organizations on the occasion of the anniversary of the start of the Russian Federation’s full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine.
“For nine years we have held the front, an outpost of the civilized world. For nine years, our defense forces have held the border of democracy and the rule of law, and the hope that international law will be restored. Over the past year, the world has finally come to its senses. Over the last year, after the start of full-scale aggression, we see that there have been tectonic shifts in the politics of our partners. And, finally, we receive not only humanitarian, political, financial support, but also real support with weapons. Because you and I know: this courage, this incredible strength of our Armed Forces, our defense forces is not enough for us to win this war,” the head of the committee said.
“We need tools. By this statement you and I are appealing to the free nations of the world to help us with these tools, to provide us with absolutely every type of weaponry that will enable us to plan operations in such a way as to drive this barbaric horde out of our country. I am convinced that we will succeed,” the deputy emphasized.
“But we, our colleagues, should not just make noise, but really unite our efforts in order to continue to insist on this help, to maintain the world’s interest in our sacred struggle. But at the same time, we must do our homework in order not to lose the historic chance that was given to us together with the candidate status for Ukraine,” said Klympush-Tsintsadze.
“I am convinced that we can do it. But for this we have to really work together and carefully do the homework that is given to us. We will become a member of the European Union and a member of the North Atlantic Alliance, because we will win. The truth is on our side,” the EU representative emphasized.
