Petro Poroshenko brought two Poseidon UAVs, as well as tires and generators to the soldiers of the 24th detached mechanized brigade named after King Danylo. The brigade is currently holding positions in Donetsk region, in the hottest places, so it desperately needs powerful drones.
The soldiers overload the “Poseidons” and tell: “Now there are “eyes” in the brigade, they are very grateful to Petro Oleksiiovych. Today, this is our coolest machine.”

Poroshenko explains: this UAV model has a more powerful battery, newer and better software, it is a powerful, modern weapon. “This “bird” flies very far, sees very far, has unique night vision systems. And you can’t knock it down as easily as a quadcopter,” says the fifth President.
The brigade will also be given a control center based on a DAF truck: “so that the operator, pilot, gunner, scout, everyone is inside and everyone has the opportunity to effectively perform combat tasks,” Poroshenko explains.

Generators are also needed on the front line right now because there are serious power outages. And wheels are generally a consumable for cars, because there are a lot of debris on the ground. Military say that you can go and puncture four wheels at once.
“But for now our troops are holding on, everything is fine,” says Poroshenko.
In fact, the cars themselves, especially pickup trucks, became “consumables” at the front. Serhii Kostynskyi, who fought near Bakhmut, says that his battalion lost 45 pickup trucks in a month. Eight of them cannot be restored at all. Therefore, two pickup trucks and a truck brought by Petro Poroshenko are immediately sent to the unit for a combat mission.
“Cars are our instrument of war, they are our instrument of defense. Without it, we cannot be mobile. We can’t drive our guys into position. Without it, we cannot evacuate the wounded. These machines will literally go to work tomorrow. And this is a big help for us,” says Kostynskyi.
“I am happy to be here among my own people. Everything is more honest and correct here. These guys and I started defending Kyiv on February 24. And today I found myself here. We brought equipment, because the battalion in Bakhmut lost almost everything,” says Poroshenko.
“We will do everything possible to make the russians pay a very high price for each of our friends we have lost. For Glib Babich, for Yura Karakai, for Taras Zherebetskyi. Well, now – for Oleg Barna. There is simply no strength to endure when this russians knocks out the best. And we will work even harder and support our soldiers,” Petro Poroshenko does not hold back his emotions.
He also called on everyone who can, to come tomorrow and say goodbye to Oleg Barna, who died two days ago in battle in Donetsk region.
“Tomorrow at 12 o’clock on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, there will be a farewell to a real Hero, a teacher, a leader of a united territorial community, a politician, a people’s deputy and a real, sincere, kind, cool Ukrainian Oleg Barna. Come,” says Poroshenko.
