The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the draft law on the application of sectoral special economic and other restrictive measures to the Islamic Republic of Iran – Iryna Friz, a people’s deputy from the “European Solidarity” faction, wrote about this on Facebook.
“Iran’s supply of drones by the Shahed Aviation Industries company and its related institutions, to launch strikes on energy and social infrastructure objects, residential objects is a direct evidence of Tehran’s participation in the aggression against Ukraine and the genocide of the Ukrainian people,” Friz notes.
“We should also remember the tragedy of January 2020, when Iran destroyed a civilian plane of the Ukraine International Airlines flight PS 752. Then Iran not only tried to hide its guilt, but still evades paying compensation to the citizens of Ukraine who died as a result of this crime. For me, this case is identical to the downing of the MH-17 airliner. As a state, we are obliged to use the entire toolkit to bring the culprits to justice,” the deputy is convinced.
“Iran’s supply of weapons to Russia is a crime for which this country must be punished. Islam forbids violence against innocent people, attacking a person or his property. The Qur’an says “do not approach vile deeds”. Iran has come close to racist murderers and rapists, and we must respond. Respond with sanctions,” emphasizes Iryna Friz.
