Petro Poroshenko said on the air of the British TV channel GB News that as long as the russians are fighting against Ukraine, they have to feel all the horror that Ukrainians are experiencing. Poroshenko noted that both russian partisans and putin’s opponents could be behind the drone attacks in Moscow.
“I don’t comment on who is doing it, why they are doing it, but russia should feel at least part of the pain that the Ukrainian people, Ukrainian children, and the Ukrainian civilian population feel,” Poroshenko said.
“Is it possible that these were russian partisans? My answer is yes. Is it possible that this is a russian brigade or group engaged in destabilization to make russia weaker? My answer is yes. Are these regular Ukrainian Armed Forces? My answer: I seriously doubt it,” Poroshenko said.
“Every night we wake up to russian missiles, russian Shaheds and Ukrainian air defense, and this has happened 17 times this month alone. You can imagine how you feel when you see children who are very scared because of the russian shelling and try to find shelter in the metro station. They will remember it for the rest of their lives,” said the fifth President.
“We applaud our air defenses, which have destroyed 90-95% of russian missiles and russian attack drones. If someone can talk about a terrorist war and terrorist attacks, then this is an attack by the terrorist putin and the terrorist russian regime, an unprovoked attack on the European, Ukrainian people,” Poroshenko believes.
“What is russia waiting for? They want Kyiv and the people of Kyiv, the Ukrainians, to be in panic and despair, instead we demonstrated that we are determined and we are fighting for our victory. Yesterday and today I was in the parliament as the leader of the second largest Ukrainian parliamentary faction. We had an air defense system directly above the parliament that successfully destroyed russian cruise missiles, and we are learning to live in conditions of constant russian attacks,” Poroshenko explains.
“But the russians should not expect that this will be a “special military operation” in Ukraine for them. No, they will feel everything that the Ukrainian people are feeling now. Russia should be in constant insecure as long as there is a war in Ukraine. There is no safe place in Ukraine. Russia should understand how it is, go through the same thing as Ukraine,” Poroshenko is convinced.
