Petro Poroshenko announced on the air of the TV channel “Pryamiy” that he is investing in government securities of the USA, Great Britain and the countries of the European Union in order to direct the profits to help the Armed Forces. He noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, equipment, weapons and equipment worth 4 billion hryvnias have been purchased for the needs of the Ukrainian army. Poroshenko also noted that the informational attack against him primarily harms Ukraine’s interests and worsens difficult relations with Hungary, which will preside over the European Union next year.
“It was not only an informational attack. It was a direct attack. It was a huge hoax that was orchestrated by the Office of the President in an attempt to keep me out. They handed out directives to the leadership of the parliament, which was involved in an absolutely dirty provocation. SBU, which turned into a telegram channel of the President’s Office. And further processes are now underway, about which everyone will be informed through my lawyers,” Poroshenko said.
“About 37 million is a very simple situation. This is a lie and a provocation. There is a special investment manager. The goal is to provide the highest return to fund the Armed Forces. Who wants to compete with me – please. We crossed the threshold of UAH 4 billion since the beginning of the full-scale invasion,” says Petro Poroshenko.
“We are ready to report on each article. And in order for these four billion to exist, we have to ensure the maximization of profit. Then the investment manager made a decision: to invest in government bonds, securities – primarily of Ukraine, the United States and the countries of the European Union. There are American Treasury bonds, there are British pound bonds, there are European Union bonds. And why did the Hungarian, Romanian, and Bulgarian ones appear there – because there is the highest profitability, which goes to the Armed Forces,” Poroshenko explains.
“And here they present this position – “37 million Poroshenko received from the state of Hungary.” My friends, I received another income before the meeting with our American partners from the United States Government.
