People’s deputies from the “European Solidarity” faction held a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine. This was announced by the Head of the Committee on Ukraine’s Integration with the EU, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.
“I am impressed by how objectively Japanese partners consider investment opportunities in Ukraine. They are clearly aware that in order for us to succeed and for us to be able to count on direct foreign investments, we need to improve the situation with the rule of law and strengthen anti-corruption efforts,” the deputy noted on social networks.
“They talked about various sectors of the economy, which are of interest to Japanese investors, in particular, the development of processing in agriculture, which is important for world food security, and the military industry, which would increase our defense capabilities, mechanical engineering,” Klympush-Tsintsadze writes.
“There was a lot of talk about our need for weapons, demining, the need to strengthen the sanctions regime against the aggressor, the need to isolate Russia. Japan considers this war as an attack not purely against one country, but against the international order, and is doing very serious work to explain to other states the reasons and consequences of this aggression for the whole world,” said the Chairman of the Committee.
“We thanked our friends for this important diplomatic work, and for direct budgetary and humanitarian support, military aid, and for the clarity of the position,” sums up Klympush-Tsintsadze.
