Petro Poroshenko bought 4,000 FPV drones, hundreds of Maviks, and 28 trench warfare systems for 90 million hryvnias for the Armed Forces brigades.
“One well-known blogger, a soldier, said in an interview that FPVs from volunteers at the front are no longer needed. It turns out that our state has already provided the entire army. Therefore, yesterday I asked the military and volunteers to write back whether it is appropriate to spend their own funds on drones, or whether they should be redirected to something else,” Poroshenko recalled.
He noted that he received a flurry of messages and appeals that one can wait 2 or 3 months for FPVs from the state, and the quality is often inadequate.
“The claims are the claims, and the number of requests for FPV is only increasing. So we continue to work on FPV drones. We provide our soldiers with quality batteries. Everyone has very cool and honest power, honest strength. There is an initiation fee in each of them, no one needs to solder, prove, assemble something at any artisanal productions. Everything is of perfect quality, the best is at the front,” Poroshenko shows.
The fifth president of Ukraine also announced that in this batch of aid, 28 complexes of trench radio electronic warfare systems, hundreds of Maviks – both day and night will go to the front.
“And also the 700 night FPV, which is the star, a real treasure. That is, our soldiers will have the opportunity to operate night FPVs, destroying the enemy not only during the day, but also at night,” he noted.
“There are 4,000 FPV’s here, along with radio electronic warfare systems and Maviks. This is all for one delivery to our Armed Forces,” Petro Poroshenko said.
The leader of “European Solidarity” said that this technique and equipment will be transferred to 20 brigades.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Poroshenko has exceeded 5.4 billion hryvnias. Now the priority is FPV drones, Mavics, equipment for fortifications and EW devices.
