For the political class – the “establishment” – of the West, and first of all the USA, the reality known to Ukrainians is becoming more and more obvious. No, Putin will not go to negotiations and peace. He kills his subjects by the thousands a day and burns resources by the trillions of dollars a year not for that to be satisfied with the cities destroyed by them in the east and south of Ukraine.
If the Ukrainian authorities rely on some “secret negotiations”, which are repeatedly reported by the Western, Turkish, and other press, this is as dangerous an illusion as in 2021 and January-February 2022 believing Russian and Belarusian officials that Russia “exactly” will not attack, and if it does, then “only a little” in the Donbas and the “corridor to Crimea”.
We must get rid of these illusions. Whoever becomes the president of the United States, the war will continue. It is necessary to talk with the West not only about aid, weapons, and sanctions but also about joint production and research projects to destroy the Russian army and economy. In Ukraine, engage in fortification, production, and effective mobilization.
And yes, “without Poroshenko” it will not work either. We can only survive together because the great wisdom of Zelenskyi, Yermak, and 5-6 managers is not enough. In a week, everything written will become obvious to everyone. When will it “reach” Bankova?
