On the anniversary of the “dictatorial laws” on January 16, the authorities continue to curtail democracy – Poroshenko

During his speech from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, Petro Poroshenko recalled the anniversary of the adoption of the shameful “dictatorial laws” on January 16 and noted that the curtailment of democracy continues in Ukraine. The leader of “Eurosolidarity” reported that he was once again illegally denied permission to travel abroad to Brussels.

“January 16 is a historic day for the entire Ukrainian state. 11 years ago, in this hall, the curtailment of democracy in Ukraine was put to a vote and voted with hands, which ultimately led to the implementation of the Revolution of Dignity. Those who voted on January 16, 11 years ago, are still in this hall. And yet the Verkhovna Rada has not managed to expel them from the hall now, during the war,” Poroshenko states.

“The collapse of democracy today is also the fact that once again, as the leader of “European Solidarity”, who planned to meet in Europe with the leaders of the European People’s Party, I was again not allowed to leave the border on a criminal order,” said Petro Poroshenko.

“They are trying to divert attention from their corruption, from their greed, from their thefts. Only now, more than 70 billion has been stolen from the army with your votes,” stated the fifth President.

“But January 16 is also an example of heroism. Because 10 years ago at the Donetsk airport, the glorious “cyborgs” demonstrated what the newly created Armed Forces of Ukraine mean, which are still holding the front, destroying Rusyn and saving the state,” Poroshenko emphasized.

“Decide which side you are on – with the OPZH or with the Ukrainian people?”, Poroshenko summed up.
