Today’s searches at Andriy Yermak’s premises indicate that the reckless plan to save him by irresponsibly appointing him as the head of Ukraine’s negotiating position has failed, although it has already damaged Ukraine’s international reputation.
Therefore, the first thing that must be done immediately is to change the leadership and cleanse the composition of the negotiators. Issues of peace and the fate of Ukrainians cannot depend on the personal vulnerabilities and tarnished reputation of politicians involved in a corruption scandal.
The lack of or delay in reaction has already caused a negative attitude among partners and jeopardized European integration and the provision of financial assistance to Ukraine.
Under these circumstances, this poses a direct threat to the national security of Ukraine and requires swift action; any further delay borders on a crime. This situation severely weakens Ukraine at a time when the situation on the front is deteriorating and when unacceptable peace conditions are being imposed upon us.
Therefore, the second point: “European Solidarity” demands what the vast majority of Ukrainians support – to dismiss the Head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, as well as other individuals involved in the corruption scandal.
Thirdly, we demand the restoration of the Constitution in Ukraine, which provides for a parliamentary-presidential model, meaning the creation of a new coalition and a government of national salvation. This, along with the situation on the front and the diplomatic track, should become the topic of a meeting between faction leaders and the President. We have a serious conversation and many urgent questions for him.
Fourthly, we demand the immediate convocation of a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament), because the current risks are similar to those at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. It is time to restore the Parliament’s agency and its constitutional role.
Fifthly – regarding the budget for 2026, it must be rewritten by the government of national salvation, removing Mindich’s schemes from it, allocating additional funds for defense and for protecting those who need it most, rather than distributing thousands to everyone indiscriminately.
Time is working against our state; urgent measures are needed to stop the decline of trust between the front and the rear, between society and the government, and between our partners and Ukraine.
