People’s Deputies of Ukraine Mariia Ionova, Iryna Gerashchenko, and Oleh Syniutka met with representatives of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD).
Representing the WFD were the Right Honourable Wendy Morton, Member of the House of Commons and member of the WFD Board of Governors, and WFD Chief Executive Anthony Smith.
First and foremost, the MPs thanked the WFD and the people of the United Kingdom for their consistent and total support for Ukraine. They discussed the state of democratic development and support in Ukraine amid full-scale war, the role of parliament in ensuring government transparency and accountability, the value of achievements in decentralization reform, and international support for Ukraine.
For “European Solidarity,” the long-term cooperation with the WFD is highly valuable and important, especially given the need to defend democratic values, and we are grateful to our partners for their support in this matter.
